Angus Council

The water and air hygiene arm of Carillion Planned Maintenance has held a Water Testing & Treatment (Legionella) contract with Angus Council for over ten years.  The contract covers all buildings owned by Angus Council – approximately 140 in total – and includes schools, residential homes and offices. 

Initially the contract involved visiting each site to carry out water sampling and also carry out Water Hygiene Risk Assessments. It evolved into a full ACoP L8 compliant programme at all sites consisting of monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual visits, and also included the bi-annual servicing of thermostatic mixing valves.

Services Provided:

• Risk assessment surveys to ACOP L8

• Water quality sampling

• Water storage tanks cleaned and chlorinated

• Water systems maintenance to Health & Safety Guidance Note L8

• Water storage tanks replaced/refurbished to Water Regulation 2000

• De-scaling of all types of systems and plant
